UPSSSC Livestock Extension Officer Examination 2026

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has issued Advertisement No. 17-Exam/2026 for the Livestock Extension Officer Main Examination 2026 under the Animal Husbandry Directorate, Uttar Pradesh.

The recruitment contains 1,251 vacancies, consisting of 1,248 posts under regular selection and 3 posts under special selection.

The online application processing fee is ₹25 for UR, OBC, SC and ST candidates as shown in the notification. Shortlisted candidates may have to pay the separately prescribed Main Examination fee before downloading the Main Examination admit card.

A candidate must have passed the Intermediate examination with Biology group or an equivalent recognised 10+2 examination and must have completed a two-year Livestock Extension Diploma from a veterinary university or veterinary college established by law. Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script is also required.

The general age limit is 21 to 40 years as on 1 July 2026. Upper-age relaxation is applicable to eligible categories according to Uttar Pradesh Government rules.

This is a Main Examination recruitment linked with UPSSSC PET 2025. Candidates must have participated in PET 2025 and will be shortlisted for the Main Examination according to PET score and the shortlisting rules prescribed by the Commission.

The paper contains 100 objective questions for 100 marks in 120 minutes. One-fourth of the marks prescribed for a question, equivalent to 25 percent, will be deducted for each incorrect response.

Livestock Extension Officer carries Pay Matrix Level 5, ₹29,200 to ₹92,300, together with admissible Uttar Pradesh Government allowances and benefits.
