Post-wise qualification varies by teaching level. For Classes 1-5, candidates require the prescribed Senior Secondary/Graduation qualification along with an eligible elementary teacher training qualification such as D.El.Ed/B.El.Ed or other applicable NCTE-recognized qualification and CTET/BTET Paper-I as applicable. For Classes 6-8, Graduation/Post Graduation with the prescribed teacher-training qualification and CTET/BTET Paper-II is required as applicable. For Classes 9-10, relevant Graduation/Post Graduation with prescribed B.Ed or equivalent teacher-training qualification and STET Paper-I is required. For Classes 11-12, relevant Post Graduation with prescribed teacher-training qualification and STET Paper-II is required. Subject-specific qualification conditions in Advertisement No. 14/2026 must also be satisfied.
Salary / Stipend
Initial basic pay: Primary Teacher Classes 1-5 Rs. 25,000 per month; Middle School Teacher Classes 6-8 Rs. 28,000 per month; Secondary Teacher Classes 9-10 Rs. 31,000 per month; Higher Secondary Teacher Classes 11-12 Rs. 32,000 per month, plus admissible allowances as per Bihar Government rules.

BPSC has not yet confirmed the revised closing date in the update available before the expected 21 September start. Therefore, the old 30 September deadline should not be treated as final until the revised schedule is published.
