Railway Recruitment Boards have issued CEN 05/2026 for recruitment to 590 paramedical vacancies including Nursing Superintendent, Dialysis Technician, Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II, Audiologist & Speech Therapist, Pharmacist, Radiographer, ECG Technician, Optometrist and Lab Assistant Grade II. Post-specific paramedical qualification is required. Qualifications include Registered Nurse and Midwife or B.Sc Nursing for Nursing Superintendent; B.Sc with Diploma/Training in Haemodialysis for Dialysis Technician; B.Sc with Chemistry plus Health/Sanitary Inspector qualification for Health & Malaria Inspector; BASLP with RCI registration for Audiologist & Speech Therapist; B.Pharm or Pharm.D with Pharmacist registration for Pharmacist; 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry plus prescribed Radiography qualification for Radiographer; Science qualification with ECG/Cardiology qualification for ECG Technician; B.Sc Optometry or prescribed Ophthalmic Technician Diploma with registration for Optometrist; and 10+2 Science with DMLT/Medical Laboratory Technology qualification for Lab Assistant Grade II.
Salary / Stipend
7th CPC Pay Levels 3 to 7 depending on post. Initial basic pay ranges from Rs. 21,700 for Lab Assistant Grade II to Rs. 44,900 for Nursing Superintendent.

Yes. One-third of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Eligible refund is provided only to candidates who appear in the CBT. General candidates receive Rs. 400 back from the Rs. 500 fee after applicable bank charges, while eligible concessional-category candidates receive refund of their Rs. 250 fee after applicable bank charges.
No pre-existing photograph is uploaded during the application. The portal captures a live photograph of the candidate.
Selection is primarily based on a Single Stage Computer Based Test followed by Document Verification and the prescribed Railway Medical Examination.
