RRB NTPC 10+2 UG Inter Level Recruitment 2025 - CBT-I Result 2026 Out

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are conducting the Non-Technical Popular Categories Undergraduate recruitment under CEN 07/2025 for Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist and Trains Clerk posts. A total of 3,058 vacancies were notified across Railway Recruitment Boards.

The first-stage Computer Based Test has been completed and the CBT-I Result was declared on 24 August 2026. Candidates whose roll numbers appear in their respective RRB result PDF are provisionally shortlisted for the second-stage CBT.

Examination Fee: Rs. 500 for candidates other than specified concession categories. After appearing in CBT-I, Rs. 400 is refundable after deduction of applicable bank charges. For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minority and Economically Backward Class candidates, the fee was Rs. 250, refundable after appearing in CBT-I subject to applicable bank charges.

The minimum educational qualification for the notified undergraduate posts is 12th (+2 Stage) or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board or institution. The 50% aggregate condition is not insisted upon for SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates possessing a qualification higher than 12th level, as provided in the CEN.

For Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist, typing proficiency in English or Hindi on computer is essential. Candidates awaiting the final result of the prescribed educational qualification were not eligible to apply.

The basic age limit for all four posts is 18 to 30 years as on 01 January 2026. For the unreserved/EWS category, the candidate should not have been born earlier than 02 January 1996 and should not have been born later than 01 January 2008, subject to the complete age provisions in the notification.

The recruitment contains 3,058 vacancies across four undergraduate NTPC posts.

All-RRB category-wise total: UR 1,280, SC 461, ST 264, OBC-NCL 773 and EWS 280. The notification additionally shows 303 Ex-Servicemen vacancies as horizontal reservation.

The recruitment process consists of CBT-I, CBT-II, Computer Based Typing Skill Test for the applicable typist posts, Document Verification and Railway Medical Examination.

CBT-I is a screening examination of 100 questions for 100 marks in 90 minutes. It contains General Awareness 40 questions, Mathematics 30 questions and General Intelligence and Reasoning 30 questions. Eligible candidates using a scribe receive 120 minutes.

There is negative marking of one-third mark for every wrong answer. Normalized CBT-I marks are used to shortlist candidates for CBT-II.

Minimum eligibility marks prescribed for CBT are UR/EWS 40%, OBC-NCL 30%, SC 30% and ST 25%. For PwBD candidates, these eligibility percentages may be relaxed by 2 marks in case of shortage of PwBD candidates against reserved vacancies.

The CBT-I result was declared on 24 August 2026 through regional RRB result PDFs and category-wise cut-offs. Candidates listed in the result are provisionally shortlisted for CBT-II based on CBT-I merit, reservation rules and the order of post preferences.

Individual normalized marks and qualifying status are scheduled to be available through candidate login from 26 August 2026 at 5:00 PM.

CBT-II consists of 120 questions for 120 marks in 90 minutes: General Awareness 50 questions, Mathematics 35 questions and General Intelligence and Reasoning 35 questions. Eligible candidates using a scribe receive 120 minutes. One-third mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

The Railway recruitment calendar indicates 17 September 2026 as the tentative CBT-II date. Candidates should verify the final examination schedule, city intimation and e-call letter through their regional RRB website.

CBTST applies only to Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist. The typing test is qualifying in nature and its marks are not added to the merit score. The prescribed typing speed is 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi on a personal computer without editing tools or spell-check facility.

Candidates qualifying the applicable examination and skill-test stages are called for Document Verification according to merit and post options. Final appointment is subject to verification of original certificates, prescribed medical fitness and other Railway recruitment conditions.

These are regular Railway recruitment posts. RRBs conduct the selection and recommend successful candidates, while appointment is offered by the respective Railway administration subject to successful completion of all prescribed formalities.
