Indian Navy Agniveer SSR and MR recruitment for 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches through INET 2026. Applications were accepted from 14 March to 6 April 2026. Stage II for the 01/2027 batch is tentatively scheduled for October 2026, with induction at INS Chilka in December 2026.

Agniveer MR: Class 10 with minimum 50% aggregate. Agniveer SSR: 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics and minimum 50% aggregate, or prescribed 3-year Engineering Diploma / 2-year Vocational alternative with minimum 50%.
Salary / Stipend
Monthly customized package starts at Rs. 30,000 in Year 1 and rises to Rs. 40,000 in Year 4, with 70% in-hand and 30% contribution to the Agniveer Corpus Fund plus matching Government contribution.

SSR requires 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics and minimum 50% aggregate, or one of the prescribed Engineering Diploma / Vocational alternatives with minimum 50%.
MR requires Class 10 / Matriculation with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board.
SSR has 100 questions in 60 minutes from English, Science, Mathematics and General Awareness. MR has 50 questions in 30 minutes from Science & Mathematics and General Awareness. Both have 0.25 negative marking per wrong answer.
The engagement period is four years. Up to 25% of a specific batch may later be considered for regular sailor enrolment based on Navy requirements and selection criteria, but this is not guaranteed.
