For Science Subjects: Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English; OR a recognized three-year Engineering Diploma in specified disciplines with 50% aggregate and 50% in English; OR a recognized two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics and the prescribed marks. For Other than Science Subjects: Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English; OR a recognized two-year Vocational Course with minimum 50% aggregate and the prescribed English marks.
Salary / Stipend
Agniveer package starts at Rs. 30,000 per month in the first year, rising to Rs. 33,000 in the second year, Rs. 36,500 in the third year and Rs. 40,000 in the fourth year. Approximate in-hand amount is 70% of the package. On completion of four years, the Seva Nidhi package is approximately Rs. 10.04 lakh excluding interest. Non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakh is provided during engagement.
