Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) is conducting the Excise Constable (Aabkari Sipahi) Main Examination 2026 under Advertisement No. 08-Exam/2026 for recruitment under the Office of the Excise Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj.
The recruitment was originally advertised for 722 vacancies. Through a corrigendum dated 23 June 2026, another 98 vacancies were added. The revised recruitment therefore contains 820 vacancies.
The PET-2025 based eligibility result has now been declared and 32,891 candidates have been shortlisted for the Main Examination. This eligibility result is only a shortlisting stage and is not the final recruitment result.

Preferential Qualification: Candidates having at least two years of service in the Territorial Army or an NCC B Certificate receive preference as provided under the recruitment rules.

The Excise Constable Main Examination consists of 100 objective multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. Candidates are given 2 hours or 120 minutes to complete the examination.
Negative Marking: 0.25 mark or one-fourth mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
