Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj has notified Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET) 2026 for eligible serving Primary and Upper Primary teachers and Special Educators (CWSN). OTR-based online applications started on 05 September 2026. Fee payment is permitted up to 04 October 2026, correction up to 08 October 2026 and the examination is scheduled for 03 November 2026.

Special TET 2026 is applicable to eligible serving teachers and assistant teachers working at Primary or Upper Primary level in institutions covered by the notification. For Special Educators (CWSN), Primary level requires Graduation with an RCI-recognized D.Ed. Special Education or equivalent qualification and active CRR/RCI registration. Upper Primary level requires Graduation with an RCI-recognized B.Ed. Special Education or equivalent qualification and active CRR/RCI registration.
