Eligibility Cut-off

Generalists

Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks, or 55% for SC/ST/PwBD, in either degree examination.

Hindi Officers

Master's Degree from a recognized University in Hindi/English or another subject through one of the prescribed Hindi-English subject and medium combinations, with minimum 60% marks, or 55% for SC/ST/PwBD.

Result Condition

Required qualification must be completed by 30 June 2026. Candidates whose qualifying examination result was declared after 30 June 2026 are not eligible.

Computer Knowledge

Working knowledge of Computer is mandatory.

Tier I - Preliminary

100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes. English Language 30 questions/30 marks/20 minutes; Reasoning 35/35/20 minutes; Quantitative Aptitude 35/35/20 minutes.

Generalists - Main Objective

200 questions, 250 marks, 150 minutes. English 40Q/50; Reasoning 50Q/60; Quantitative Aptitude 50Q/60; General Awareness with Financial Sector 40Q/60; Computer Knowledge 20Q/20.

Generalists - Descriptive

30 marks, 30 minutes, English only: Letter Writing 10 marks and Essay 20 marks. Descriptive marks are not counted in final merit.

Hindi Officers - Main Objective

150 questions, 200 marks, 120 minutes. English 25Q/25; Reasoning 25Q/25; Professional Knowledge 50Q/100; General Awareness 25Q/25; Computer Knowledge 25Q/25.

Hindi Officers - Descriptive

50 marks, 60 minutes: English Essay 10, Hindi Essay 10, Hindi Letter Writing 10, English-to-Hindi Translation 10 and Hindi-to-English Translation 10.

Negative Marking

One-fourth of the marks assigned to the question is deducted for every wrong objective answer in Preliminary and Main Examinations.

Cut-offs

Section-wise and overall cut-offs apply as determined by UIIC.

Interview

Candidates may be shortlisted up to three times the vacancies of the respective category and discipline.

Final Merit - Generalists

Tier-II Objective Main Examination and Interview in 75:25 ratio. Tier-I and Descriptive marks are not counted.

Final Merit - Hindi Officers

Tier-II Main Examination comprising Objective and Descriptive Tests and Interview in 75:25 ratio. Tier-I marks are not counted.

Tie Break

If consolidated scores are equal, the candidate senior in age is placed higher.

One year, extendable at the discretion of UIIC.

Licentiate Examination

During probation, officers must pass the non-life Licentiate Examination conducted by Insurance Institute of India for confirmation.

Service Bond

Minimum 5 years of service including probation.

Early Resignation Liability

Actual gross salary paid, capped at one year's gross salary, plus Rs. 35,000 towards onboarding and integration cost. Liability is proportionately reduced where applicable after completing one year but before completing five years.

Initial Posting

Selected candidates are likely to be posted mostly in Southern and Western Zones.

Initial Posting Period

Minimum 5 years; transfer to place of choice will not be entertained during this period.

Transfer Liability

Any location in India as decided by the Company.

Discipline Choice

Apply for either Generalists or Hindi Officers only. A candidate cannot apply or appear for both.

Photograph

Recent passport-style colour photograph, 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm; preferred 200 x 230 pixels; file size 20 KB to 50 KB.

Signature

Sign on white paper using black ink. Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS is not accepted.

Left Thumb Impression

White paper with black or blue ink; JPG/JPEG; preferred 240 x 240 pixels; 20 KB to 50 KB.

Handwritten Declaration

Must be written by the candidate in English on white paper and must not be in capital letters. JPG/JPEG; preferred 800 x 400 pixels; 50 KB to 100 KB.

Final Registration

Preview and verify every detail before Complete Registration. No change in application data, category or discipline is permitted after completion.

Payment

Online through permitted Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards or Mobile Wallets. Keep the e-Receipt and application printout.

Exam Documents

Carry call letter with recent photograph, original valid photo ID, photocopy of the same ID and two copies of recent passport-size photograph.

Invalid IDs

Ration Card and Learner's Driving Licence are not valid identity proof for the recruitment process.

Name Change

Candidates whose name has changed must produce original Gazette notification, marriage certificate or affidavit as applicable.

EWS Certificate

Income is based on FY 2025-26. Income & Asset Certificate should have been issued after 31 March 2026.

Government / PSU Employees

Government, Quasi-Government and PSU employees must produce NOC at interview if shortlisted and proper discharge certificate at joining if selected.

Biometric Verification

UIIC may capture photograph, thumb impression or IRIS scan. Candidates are advised not to apply mehendi, ink, chemicals or other external material on their hands.
