Staff Selection Commission has released SSC CHSL 2026 for approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies of LDC, JSA, DEO and DEO Grade A. Online applications are open from 07 September 2026 to 07 October 2026. The basic age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 01 August 2026. Selection is through Tier-I and Tier-II examinations followed by Skill Test or Typing Test as applicable.

Qualification
12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. For certain Data Entry Operator and Data Entry Operator Grade A posts in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Staff Selection Commission and Ministry of Culture, 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject is required. The essential qualification must be possessed on or before 07 October 2026.
Salary / Stipend
LDC/JSA: Pay Level-2, Rs. 19,900-63,200. DEO: Pay Level-4, Rs. 25,500-81,100 and Pay Level-5, Rs. 29,200-92,300. DEO Grade A: Pay Level-4, Rs. 25,500-81,100.

Approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies have been announced. The final post-wise and category-wise vacancy position will be published later.
The online application can be submitted up to 07 October 2026 at 11:00 PM.
The general requirement is 12th Standard or equivalent. Certain DEO posts require 12th Science with Mathematics.
The basic age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 01 August 2026, with applicable category-wise relaxation.
SSC has not announced the Tier-I examination date yet. It will be notified separately.
