Salary / Stipend
Approximate CTC ₹11,00,000 per annum for all advertised posts. NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has released Advertisement No. 04/26 for recruitment of experienced professionals in Renewable Energy functions. A total of 147 projected vacancies are available across Engineering, Human Resources, Finance, Safety, CSR and Rajbhasha disciplines.
The appointments will initially be made for a fixed term of 3 years. The engagement may be further extended by up to 2 years depending upon organizational requirements.
Selected candidates may be posted at NGEL Corporate Office, Stations, Sites, Clusters, Joint Ventures, subsidiaries or other project locations across India. The posts are transferable at the sole discretion of the management.

Category-wise aggregate vacancies are UR 75, SC 14, ST 13, OBC 22 and EWS 23. The vacancy numbers are projected and may increase or decrease at the discretion of NGEL management.
Fourteen vacancies are reserved for PwBD candidates as per Government guidelines. Seven PwBD vacancies relate to Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Safety disciplines and seven relate to HR, Finance, CSR and Rajbhasha. These include PwBD backlog vacancies.
Reservation: UR 21, SC 4, ST 3, OBC 8 and EWS 7.
Qualification: Full-time BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 65% marks from a recognized University/Institution. Minimum qualifying marks are 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification executive experience, including training period if any, in Geotech, piling, foundation, structural steel, tower structures, switchyard or related areas. Candidates having Renewable Energy experience will be preferred.
Job Profile: Civil system design, preparation of technical specifications, regulatory and statutory compliance for Solar, Wind and other Renewable Energy projects, contract management, construction, quality assurance, equipment erection, installation, testing, commissioning and Operation & Maintenance activities.

Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification executive experience including training in switchyard, electrical testing, transmission system, transformer, design or engineering. Renewable Energy experience in plant or engineering domain will be preferred.
Job Profile: Electrical system design, technical specification preparation, regulatory compliance, project contracts, erection, installation, testing, commissioning and Operation & Maintenance of Renewable Energy stations.

Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification executive experience including training with involvement in supervision, execution and related activities in Thermal, Gas, Hydro, Nuclear or Renewable power generation. Renewable Energy experience will be preferred.
Job Profile: Design and engineering of mechanical systems for Solar, Wind and other Renewable Energy projects, interdisciplinary coordination, site selection, tender and technical specification preparation, bid evaluation, vendor engineering approval, site supervision, equipment storage, inspection, testing, installation, commissioning, vendor payments, statutory clearances and O&M activities.

NGEL may use a multistage selection process depending upon the number of applications. The process may include application screening/shortlisting based on qualification, percentage of marks and experience, Written Test/CBT, Group Discussion, Interview or a combination of these stages.
Management also reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility or shortlisting criteria.
The Computer Based Test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions and will be bilingual. The duration will be 2 hours.
Section 1: Subject Knowledge Test (SKT) - discipline-specific technical questions.
Section 2: Aptitude Test (AT) - Numerical Ability, Reading Comprehension, Reasoning, General Awareness, Data Interpretation and related aptitude areas.
Negative Marking: One-fourth of the maximum marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
CBT centres notified in the advertisement are Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Bhopal and Raipur.

Minimum qualifying standard in Subject Knowledge Test: UR 40% and reserved SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD 30%. Minimum qualifying standard in Aptitude Test: UR 30% and reserved categories 22.5%. Minimum qualifying standard for Experience is 50% for both UR and reserved candidates. Interview qualifying standard is 40% for UR and 30% for reserved candidates.
If NGEL decides not to conduct CBT, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of age, qualification and experience and shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
In this method, Experience carries 30 marks and Interview carries 70 marks. Minimum qualifying marks in Experience are 50% for both UR and reserved candidates. Minimum qualifying Interview marks are 55% for UR and 45% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD candidates.
For experience scoring, 5 marks will be awarded for fulfilling the minimum required experience and one additional mark for every additional year of experience, up to a maximum of 10 marks wherever the CBT-based evaluation method applies.
Final offer of appointment will be issued according to relative rank in the merit list prepared on the cumulative marks scored by candidates.
Joining is subject to the selected candidate undergoing medical examination at a specified Government hospital having at least District Hospital status and being declared medically fit.
