Naval Ship Repair Yard, Sri Vijaya Puram under the Ministry of Defence (Navy) has invited online applications for the Technician Vocational Apprentice Programme for One Year, IT-03 Batch 2026-27.
The apprenticeship is being conducted through the Naval Apprentice Training School in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. A total of 50 apprenticeship vacancies are notified across 13 designated ITI trades.
Both male and female Indian nationals satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions may apply.

Minimum educational qualification is Matriculation followed by ITI pass in the relevant trade under NCVT or SCVT. The ITI trade must match the designated apprenticeship trade prescribed in the advertisement.

Three percent horizontal reservation is provided for eligible Persons with Disability. Three percent of overall vacancies are also reserved horizontally for specified Ex-Servicemen, Armed Forces personnel and their eligible children or wards, subject to the applicable rules.
A trade-wise and category-wise preliminary merit list will be prepared.
Preliminary shortlisting will be based on the average aggregate percentage of marks obtained in Standard X and the relevant ITI trade.

Interview carries 50 marks and candidates will also be tested for technical skills in the respective trade.
