Post-wise qualification applies. Assistant Engineer RE requires a full-time regular Diploma in Engineering in the prescribed discipline. Deputy General Manager RE requires a full-time Engineering degree in the prescribed discipline with the required marks and experience.
Salary / Stipend
Assistant Engineer RE: E-0 Grade, Rs. 30,000-1,20,000 with initial basic pay Rs. 40,000. Deputy General Manager RE: E-6 Grade, Rs. 90,000-2,40,000 with initial basic pay Rs. 90,000. Other benefits are applicable as per NGEL rules.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited applications from experienced professionals for Renewable Energy posts under Advertisement No. 02/26.
The recruitment covers 114 projected vacancies comprising 100 Assistant Engineer RE posts and 14 Deputy General Manager RE posts.

Candidates must possess a full-time regular Diploma in Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics or Instrumentation from a recognized State Technical Board or AICTE/UGC recognized institute.
Minimum 10 years post-qualification site experience in the Power Sector is required, including at least 6 years in 50 MW or above grid-connected Solar and/or Wind Projects in Operation & Maintenance or Asset Management.
Upper age limit: 40 years as on 31 July 2026
Candidates must possess a full-time Graduate degree in Engineering in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics, Control & Instrumentation, Civil or Mechanical with minimum 60 percent marks. SC, ST and PwBD candidates with passing marks are eligible.
Minimum 12 years post-qualification executive experience in the Power Sector is required, including at least 10 years with a Renewable Energy Developer of Solar and/or Wind Projects and at least 2 years of prescribed site experience.
Upper age limit: 44 years as on 31 July 2026
Assistant Engineer RE: UR 41, SC 15, ST 7, OBC 27, EWS 10 — Total 100 posts.
Deputy General Manager RE: UR 8, SC 1, ST 1, OBC 3, EWS 1 — Total 14 posts.
NGEL may use a multistage selection process depending upon the number of applications received. The process may include application shortlisting or screening, Written Test, Group Discussion, Interview or a combination of these stages.
