Indian Overseas Bank Generalist / Specialist Officers Recruitment 2026

Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), a Government of India Public Sector Bank, has released Advertisement No. HRDD/RECT/04/2026-27 for recruitment of Generalist and Specialist Officers in JMGS-I, MMGS-II and MMGS-III scales.

A total of 291 vacancies are notified across Branch Management, Information Technology, Information Security, IS Audit, Database Administration, Network Administration, Cyber Security, Credit, Risk and Security functions.

Application Fee: Rs. 175 inclusive of GST for SC, ST and PwBD candidates as intimation charges only. Rs. 1,000 inclusive of GST for all other candidates including OBC and EWS. The fee is non-refundable.

Category-wise total: SC 46, ST 21, OBC 79, EWS 28 and UR 117 = 291 posts. The vacancy table also provides horizontal reservation for eligible Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.

Age: 23 to 32 years. Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 3 years as an Officer in a Scheduled Public Sector Bank or Scheduled Private Sector Bank, including at least 2 years in branch banking. Experience as Scale-I Branch Head is preferred.

Age: 25 to 35 years. Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Instrumentation, or MCA, or M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT. Minimum 5 years post-qualification IT experience is required, including at least 3 years in Banking/BFSI. Candidates must have hands-on experience in at least one of the specialised technology domains prescribed in the advertisement.

Age: 22 to 32 years. B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in the prescribed Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Cyber Security or Information Security disciplines is required. Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience is required across at least three notified cyber-security domains such as Web Application Security Testing, Mobile Application Security Testing, API Security Assessment, SAST, DAST, AI/LLM Security Testing or Red Team activities.

Age: 22 to 32 years. Eligible qualifications include B.E./B.Tech in the notified computer/security disciplines or M.E./M.Tech in those disciplines or MCA. Candidates require the prescribed Information Security Audit, Cyber Security Audit or relevant software development experience. CISA / CISSP / ISO 27001 LA / OSCP is listed as a mandatory certification requirement.

Age: 28 to 38 years. Eligible qualification includes B.E./B.Tech in prescribed IT/electronics disciplines, MCA or M.Sc. Computer Science/IT. Minimum 8 years post-qualification IT experience including at least 5 years in Banking/BFSI is required, together with hands-on experience in at least one notified specialised technology domain.

Age: 25 to 35 years. B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in the prescribed Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication, Cyber Security or Information Security disciplines is required. Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience across at least three of the notified cyber-security domains is required.

Age: 25 to 35 years. Candidates require the prescribed B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech or MCA qualification and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including the specified IS Audit/Cyber Security Audit or banking application development exposure. Mandatory certification includes CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 LA or OSCP.

Age: 28 to 38 years. Eligible qualifications include B.E./B.Tech in the prescribed CS/IT/Electronics disciplines, MCA or M.Sc. Computer Science/IT. Minimum 8 years post-qualification database administration experience is required, including at least 5 years in production database administration and at least 3 years in Banking/BFSI supporting mission-critical applications. Oracle Certified Associate or Oracle Certified Professional certification is mandatory.

Age: 25 to 35 years. Eligible qualifications include B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in the notified CS/IT/Electronics disciplines or MCA. Minimum 5 years of post-qualification Network Operations experience is required. Candidates must possess the prescribed security and switching experience, and one of the notified CCNA or Check Point certifications.

Age: 25 to 35 years. Eligible B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech qualification in the notified Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication, Cyber Security or Information Security disciplines is required. Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in at least two notified domains such as Forensic Analysis/Incident Response, SIEM/XDR, Web/API Security, IAM/PAM, AI Security or Network Security is prescribed.

Age: 23 to 33 years. Eligible qualifications include Graduation with MBA Finance, PGDBA, PGDBM or Master's in Management Studies with Finance, or Chartered Accountant, or Cost and Management Accountant. Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a Bank or Financial Institution, including at least 2 years in Credit is required.

Age: 25 to 35 years. Qualification routes are similar to Manager - Credit. Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience in a Bank or Financial Institution including at least 4 years in Credit is required.

Age: 25 to 35 years. Candidates require Graduation with the prescribed MBA/PGDM/PGDBF/Master's qualification in Finance, or CFA/MFA/MFS, or Graduation with an eligible Financial Risk Management certification such as GARP/PRMIA. Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a Public Sector Bank, Private Sector Bank or Financial Institution is required, including at least one year as an officer in Credit, Risk, Forex, Treasury or Finance.

Age: 30 to 45 years. Candidates must be Graduates and possess the prescribed computer qualification or Computer Science/Information Technology exposure. Eligible service experience includes retired JCO/equivalent personnel of Army, Navy or Air Force, eligible Inspector-equivalent personnel of Paramilitary Forces, or Police Officers not below the rank of Inspector, subject to the detailed minimum service conditions in the notification. Presently serving applicants whose discharge is on or before 30 September 2026 can also apply.

Selection will be made through Online Examination followed by Interview. Candidates qualifying in the online examination will be shortlisted for interview after preliminary screening with reference to qualification, experience, profile and job requirements.

Negative Marking: One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No penalty applies to unanswered questions. The Bank will decide the minimum qualifying marks/cut-offs.

The Interview carries 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 50% for UR/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.

Final merit will be prepared by assigning 80% weightage to the Online Examination and 20% to the Interview.

DA, HRA, CCA and other allowances and benefits are payable according to Bank rules. Specialist Officers recruited in MMGS-II and MMGS-III may also receive eligible perquisites such as conveyance, newspaper cost, telephone/mobile expenses, residential furniture and Bank-owned or leased accommodation subject to applicable rules.

Probation: Manager - Branch Management has a minimum probation period of 6 months. Assistant Manager - Security has a probation period of 2 years. Other selected officers are generally on probation for one year, subject to the Bank's service rules.

Service Bond: JMGS-I candidates are required to execute a bond of Rs. 2,00,000 and serve for a minimum period of 3 years. MMGS-II and MMGS-III candidates are required to execute a bond of Rs. 2,50,000 and serve for a minimum period of 3 years.

Selected candidates may be posted and transferred anywhere in India according to the requirements and discretion of Indian Overseas Bank.
