Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited has invited online applications for 60 Junior Engineering Assistant-IV Non-Executive posts in Production, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines. Applications are open from 14 August to 11 September 2026. Candidates generally need the prescribed three-year Diploma or eligible B.Sc. Chemistry qualification, required aggregate marks and at least three years of relevant post-qualification experience. Selection consists of a 120-mark CBT followed by document verification, qualifying SPPT and medical fitness.

Post-specific qualification and experience apply. Junior Engineering Assistant-IV Production requires a 3-year Diploma in Chemical/Petroleum/Petrochemical Engineering or Technology, or B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major subject. Mechanical requires a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Electrical requires a 3-year Diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Instrumentation requires a 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, or Electronics & Communication. General/OBC/EWS candidates require at least 60% aggregate and eligible SC/PwBD candidates against reserved positions require 55% as applicable. All four posts additionally require at least three years of relevant post-qualification work experience as on 1 July 2026.
Salary / Stipend
IDA Pay Scale ₹25,000-1,05,000 with starting basic pay of ₹25,000. In addition, eligible employees receive DA, HRA/Self-Lease, PF, Gratuity, LTC/LFA, medical reimbursement, superannuation benefits and other benefits under CPCL rules.
