Bihar BSFC Assistant Manager, AAO, Accountant, Quality Controller & LDC Recruitment 2026

Bihar State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, under the Food and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Bihar, has released recruitment for 259 posts of Assistant Manager, Assistant Accounts Officer, Accountant, Quality Controller and Lower Division Clerk. The detailed recruitment advertisement is BCECEB(BSFC)-2026/01 dated 24 August 2026. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board is conducting the online application and Computer Based Test process for formation of the recruitment panel.

The recruitment covers managerial, accounts, quality-control and clerical posts at State, District and Block levels. The number of vacancies shown in the prospectus may be changed according to requirement.

Examination / Counselling Fee: Rs. 1,200 for General, EWS, Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class candidates, including male and female candidates. Rs. 600 is payable by SC, ST and PwD candidates. Applicable online processing charges are additional.

Vacancies: 81. Classification: Block / District Level. Pay Level 7, pre-revised pay Rs. 9,300-34,800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4,600.

Qualification: Master in Business Administration (MBA) or Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from a recognized University or AICTE-recognized institution, subject to the equivalence and recognition conditions stated in the prospectus.

Vacancies: 6. Classification: District Level. Pay Level 7, pre-revised pay Rs. 9,300-34,800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4,600.

Qualification: B.Com from a recognized University with Chartered Accountancy, OR B.Com from a recognized University with 5 years of experience as Assistant Accounts Officer or equivalent in the Central Government, Bihar Government or an undertaking/corporation of the Central or Bihar Government, as prescribed in the prospectus.

Vacancies: 11. Classification: District Level. Pay Level 4, pre-revised pay Rs. 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2,400.

Qualification: B.Com with C.A. Inter passed from the prescribed recognized institution or University.

Vacancies: 38. Classification: Block / District Level. Pay Level 4, pre-revised pay Rs. 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2,400.

Qualification: B.Sc. Agriculture or B.Tech/B.E. in Food Science, Food Science & Technology, Agricultural Engineering or Biotechnology from a recognized University or AICTE-approved institution, as applicable.

Vacancies: 123. Classification: State / Block / District Level. Pay Level 2, pre-revised pay Rs. 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1,900.

Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University with computer operation and computer typing proficiency.

For LDC typing proficiency, the syllabus specifies Hindi typing at 30 words per minute or English typing at 35 words per minute, with typing errors not exceeding 1.5 percent for qualifying the prescribed standard.

Total Vacancies: 81 + 6 + 11 + 38 + 123 = 259 posts.

Minimum age for all posts is 21 years as on 01 January 2026. Maximum age is also calculated as on 01 January 2026.

Applicable Bihar Government reservation rules will be followed. Bihar domicile and valid category certificates are required for candidates claiming Bihar reservation benefits. The roster also provides separate horizontal reservation for eligible PwD candidates and dependents of freedom fighters within the notified vacancies.

The examination will be an Online Computer Based Test. The question paper will be available in Hindi and English. Each post has 100 objective questions carrying one mark each. Total examination duration is 2 hours 15 minutes. The prospectus does not state a negative-marking rule in the general CBT instructions.

General Studies, Mental Ability & Indian Language - 30 questions; Accounting & Auditing - 40 questions; Indian Economics & Indian Agriculture - 30 questions.

Post-wise merit lists will be prepared according to total marks obtained in the CBT. In case of equal total marks, preference is first given to the candidate with higher marks in Section A, then higher marks in Section B, and thereafter to the older candidate.

Candidates included in the merit list will be called merit-wise for Counselling / Interview and verification of original documents. Final appointment is also subject to medical fitness and other eligibility verification.

The appointment agreement included with the prospectus states that an appointed employee may remain on probation for up to two years and can be transferred to any place in Bihar according to BSFC requirements.

There are 259 vacancies across Assistant Manager, Assistant Accounts Officer, Accountant, Quality Controller and Lower Division Clerk posts.

The last date for online registration is 24 September 2026. Registered candidates can complete fee payment until 25 September 2026.

The minimum age is 21 years as on 01 January 2026. Maximum age differs by category.

The fee is Rs. 1,200 for General, EWS, BC and EBC candidates and Rs. 600 for SC, ST and PwD candidates, plus applicable processing charges.

The Computer Based Test has 100 objective questions for 100 marks with a duration of 2 hours 15 minutes. Subjects differ according to the selected post.

The CBT date has not yet been announced. BCECEB will announce the proposed examination and admit-card dates separately.
