Discipline-specific qualification is required. Graduate engineering streams require a full-time regular four-year degree in the relevant engineering discipline and Diploma streams require a full-time regular three-year diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from an AICTE/Government of India recognised institution. Graduate BCA/B.Com seats are also notified separately. ITI Trade candidates require the relevant ITI/NCVT certificate for COPA/Steno or Computer Hardware & Networking from a recognised institution.
Salary / Stipend
Monthly stipend: ₹15,000 for Graduate Apprentices, ₹12,000 for Diploma Apprentices and ₹9,600 for ITI Trade Apprentices.

Airports Authority of India, Regional Headquarters Northern Region, has released Advertisement No. 01/2026/APPRENTICE/GRADUATE/DIPLOMA/ITI/NR for engagement of Graduate, Diploma and ITI Trade Apprentices for the year 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
A total of 205 apprenticeship seats are notified: 80 Graduate, 65 Diploma and 60 ITI Trade seats. The number of seats is tentative and may be increased or decreased by AAI.

The notification does not prescribe a separate application fee or fee-payment deadline. No application fee is being charged for this apprenticeship engagement.
Only Indian Nationals who are domiciled in Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh or Uttarakhand are eligible.
For Graduate and Diploma engineering streams, candidates must possess the relevant full-time regular four-year Engineering Degree or three-year Engineering Diploma from a recognised institution. The notification also separately provides Graduate Apprentice seats for BCA/B.Com candidates.
ITI candidates require an ITI/NCVT certificate in the applicable COPA/Steno or Computer Hardware & Networking trade.
Graduate/Diploma passing year: Degree/Diploma candidates who passed in 2024 or after 2024 are eligible.
Minimum age: 18 years.
Maximum age: 26 years as on 16 September 2026.
Age relaxation: Applicable to eligible SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and other categories as per Government of India guidelines.
Previous apprenticeship: Candidates who have already completed or discontinued apprenticeship at the same qualification level are not eligible as prescribed.
One year experience restriction: Candidates having apprenticeship training or job experience of one year or more after obtaining the essential qualification are not eligible.

There is no separate written competitive examination prescribed in the notification. Provisional shortlisting is primarily based on the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
Candidates are provisionally ranked according to percentage marks in the qualifying examination.
CGPA is converted into percentage according to the rules of the concerned Board or University.
Where qualifying percentages are equal, date of birth and thereafter date of passing are used for seniority.
Eligible shortlisted candidates are called for Interview/Document Verification through their registered email IDs.
Original documents and required self-attested/soft copies are verified.
Final engagement is subject to successful verification and submission of the prescribed Medical Fitness Certificate at joining.
Merely being called for document verification or medical examination does not guarantee final engagement as an AAI Apprentice.

Graduate stipend includes an AAI share of ₹8,850 and Government DBT share of ₹6,150. Diploma stipend includes an AAI share of ₹6,550 and Government DBT share of ₹5,450.
The apprenticeship is for 12 months only. AAI expressly states that apprenticeship training does not create any right or claim to regular employment.
